The committee was appointed by Dean Ralph Willard to recommend guidelines for the control and disbursement of memorial funds which were in the custody of the NTSU Education Foundation / TCOM Foundation and the Business Office of TCOM. The Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine Foundation Inc., was established in October of 1978. The name was changed to the University of North Texas Health Science Center Foundation, Inc., in January 1994.
