Item Old Dog, New Tricks: Repurposing the Due Date Card(2007-10-01) Gutierrez, Laura; Crenshaw, ClaytonItem What They Think They Know: A Self-Assessment by New Health Science Center Students(2008-01-01) Crenshaw, ClaytonNew Health Science Center students were asked to complete a voluntary, online survey during their orientation events; 106 responded. Using Likert-type scales, they were asked to rate their understanding of selected library terms and research tools. They also indicated their level of experience with the same research tools and with selected information technologies. The responses showed a wide range of understanding and experience within each category. For each of the four primary questions, aggregate response data were compared by gender and by age. Among the age groups, a statistically significant difference was found in the understanding of library terms.
