Stokes, Charles Ray

The first TCOM employee, Mr. Stokes was hired by the “paper college” board of directors to conduct its initial fund-raising campaign. He has served as the college’s founding director of development, business manager, purchasing agent, public relations director and registrar. From 1981 until his retirement in 1990, he served as curator of special collections in the Health Sciences Library. In addition, he was administrative secretary to the TCOM Alumni Association from its inception in 1974 until December 1989. Interviewed by T. Cay Rowe, June 21, 1988
