Dr. Luibel was a co-founder and chairman of the TCOM Board of Directors from its inception until the college became state supported in September 1975. The Fort Worth GP shares the “moments of sheer joy and deep despair” he experienced in bringing the dream of an osteopathic medical school in Texas into reality. His memoirs cover the early years of TCOM from the granting of the charter from the State of Texas in 1966 until the graduation of the first class in 1974. He was active in professional politics and is a past president of the American Osteopathic Association and the Texas Osteopathic Medical Association. Interviewed by C. Ray Stokes, July 9, 1981
