The Virginia Ellis, D.O. Collection consists of papers, memorabilia, and committee reports that Dr. Ellis collected when she was on the faculty of the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine.

Virginia P. Ellis, D.O. was a 1936 graduate of the Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine and was a practicing pediatrician in Fort Worth for a number of years before she became interested in becoming identified with the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine. She joined the faculty in 1972, teaching the history of medicine. She was one of the first members of the Admissions Committee of the college. She created the school's community service program served as the Director of Community Services. She retired in 1985.
