The H. George Grainger, D.O. Collection consists of documents related to Grainger's career as an osteopathic physician and as a member of the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine founding board of directors. The materials include correspondence, papers, and publications.

Description

Finding aid for The H. George Grainger, D.O. Collection
Dr. George Grainger graduated from the Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1929. After graduation, he briefly lived in Canyon, Texas and then moved to Tyler, Texas, where he practiced medicine for 55 years. He retired June 1, 1992. Dr. Grainger served as a member of the founding board of directors of the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine. George Grainger was awarded the TCOM Founder's Medal in 1986. Dr. Grainger was a member of the Board of Trustees and was listed as volunteer clinical faculty in the first catalog. He taught osteopathic philosophy and manipulation.
