The Fort Worth GP shares the “moments of sheer joy and deep despair” he experienced in bringing the dream of an osteopathic medical school in Texas into reality. His memoirs cover the early years of TCOM from the granting of the charter from the State of Texas in 1966 until the graduation of the first class in 1974. RayA successful businessman and benefactor of the annual Stockseth Award for Osteopathic Excellence, Mr. Stockseth first became involved in the osteopathic profession in his home town, Corpus Christi, Texas. He served on the first TCOM Board of Directors and later on the UNT/TCOM Board of Regents, receiving the TCOM Founders Medal in 1979.
